Avoid acidic foods and drinks (citrus, soda, wine, coffee) for at least 30 minutes before and after gel application. These dissolve minerals faster than they can deposit. Also avoid extremely hot or cold foods if you’re experiencing sensitivity—they won’t interfere with remineralization but will be uncomfortable. Dairy products are beneficial due to their calcium content and ability to buffer acids.
